Materia came from my own experience trying to keep a renovation moving while juggling hundreds of small decisions, endless screenshots, bookmarked products, spreadsheets, emails and voice notes scattered everywhere.
What should have felt exciting quickly became overwhelming. I was constantly trying to remember where things were saved, what had been ordered and who needed what information.
So I started building the tool I wished existed. A simple, organised place to keep everything together — from inspiration and selections to notes, links and delivery details — without needing to run your renovation like a full-time project manager.

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Account authentication and data security are managed by Supabase, which uses industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and row-level database security.
No method of data transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Materia uses only the cookies necessary for your session and authentication to function. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email. Continued use of Materia after an updated policy is posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

By creating an account or using the Materia service at withmateria.com.au ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Materia.
Materia is a renovation management tool that helps homeowners, renovators and design professionals organise their fixture and finish selections, project notes, supplier details, delivery information and inspiration in one place.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
To use Materia you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Materia offers a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial.
After your trial ends, continued access requires a paid subscription of $9.95 AUD per month. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by managing your billing through the subscription portal. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).
Outside of your statutory rights, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for partial months or for change of mind after a billing period has commenced. If you believe you are entitled to a refund under Australian Consumer Law, please contact us.
You retain full ownership of all content you create and store in Materia, including project data, notes, links and any other information you add ("Your Content").
By using the Service, you grant Materia a limited licence to store, display and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim any ownership over Your Content and will never use it for advertising or share it with third parties.
When you use the project sharing feature, you are responsible for the content you choose to share. You must not share content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
You agree not to use Materia to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
All aspects of the Materia service — including the software, design, branding, copy and features — are the intellectual property of Materia and are protected by applicable Australian and international law. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.
Materia relies on third-party services to operate, including Supabase (data storage), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). Your use of these services through Materia is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure.
Materia is a tool to help you organise your renovation. We are not a design, construction or procurement service and do not take responsibility for decisions made using information stored in the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Materia's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay your subscription, or if we are required to do so by law. Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it will be permanently deleted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
